Google Reader
Okay I am sure everyone has heard Google Reader is shutting
down soon, that means all the followers here on my blog and all the blogs that I follow will disappear. Most people
are switching over to Bloglovin as a way to follow your fave blogs still. I have
just done it, and I will be able to stay subbed to all the blogs i love so much! As long as you all made the change also. If you would like to follow me still, click on the Follow by Email which is on the top left of my blog :)
Thank you!
Enjoy

May Technique Class
Want to share with you one of my samples that I made for May's Technique Tag Thursday, on May 9th that I will be hosting at Scrappers Cove, 75 N. Main Street, Milltown, NJ. If you are interested in joining us you can schedule to come either at 1PM, 3:30PM or 6PM but you need to reserve a spot. The technique is coloring with Distress Inks on Glossy Card Stock. It is amazing how the colors change on glossy cardstock. Price is only $10.00
And don't forget we have April's Technique Tag Thursday on April 11, same times, same place and here is that sample.

Bezels with Ice Resin
Good Morning Everyone. I would like to show you something I made. I took a class last Friday at Scrappers Cove from the fabulous Ken Oliver who is with Spellbinders. We created Bezels and used Ice Resin with it. Now we were told to bring pictures and other items that were a memory of the pictures.
Well I brought a picture of my son Chris and I the day I got married in 1991. Since my husband died 8 years after we were married, I brought a amulet that had some of his ashes in that I kept on a key chain and assembled it on the picture in the bezel. I covered the amulet once everything was set and dry with garnet chips. Then added wings and the chain. The wings are a memory "In The Wind". This is only 1 of 3 that I made.
The next one is a picture of my Grandson. My grandson takes after his father and loves his R/C truck, going to Moster Jams and is all boy. You see my grandson was a premie and was born when I was going through my heavy duty chemo. Honestly I was ready to give up, but when my grandson came and I seen him as I was holding him I told him the following "you fight for your life and grandma will fight for hers". So this is why there is a crucifix on this bezel.
The third one of my Granddaughter is in the making at will be shown at another time.

You have to see this
A woman I know who lives outside of Boston always comes up with the best ideas. Check out
what she made to solve the "I forgot" problem we all have in our family.

Projects for January 2013
Hi Everyone,
As promised I said starting the New Year I was going to try to post at least once a month. Besides doing 2 classes a month I decided to also start doing Basic Beading 101. I have so many beads from prior to World War II to current that I decided to start using them and giving others the oportunity to learn how to do beading. If you are interested in learning or having a get together at your house with friends to make bracelets please contact me. The only requirement I have for doing at someone's house it that there must be at least 4 attendees and the Hostess (who signed up for this at there house) will have a surprise.
Well here are a few projects I have done. I want to start with Graphic 45's Nutcracker Sweet. I made this for a former neighbor who lived upstairs from me. They had a baby girl on December 22, 2012, so I thought this was perfect. As you can see there are multiple layers and some have 5 different layers. I used Tim Holtz Lantern so it lights up and they can use it for a little light in their baby's room.
Now starting in January 2013 I am doing what is called Technique Tag Thursday every 2nd Thursday at Scrappers Cove www.scrapperscove.com and this is my sample of the tag we did on Januaary 10, 2013. We used Tim Holtz Idea-ology Mini Gears, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Sprocket Gears, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Stencil Type, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Bulbs, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tissue Tape, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tissue Wrap, Ranger's Ink Blending Tool, Ranger's Alcohol Ink, Retractable Pen, Tim Holtz Idea-ology Memo Pins, and Tim Holtz Sizzix MINI OLD JALOPY & ARROW Dies Movers Shapers Item 657471.
Now here is a picture of tags that everyone who came made. From top left to right was made by Pat B, Bev and Sandy. Bottom left to right is Debbie, Me and Marianne S.
Now I will leke to show you an Old Time Gasoline Pump. Oh this reminds me of my Favorite Uncle (Godfather also) and Aunts (Godmother Also) Gas Station. They had these pumps. Inside holds 3 large match book albums
